Leslie: Su, do you often register your email address when you go shopping? Su: Why do you ask? Leslie: It is supposed to be my day off today but I was called to work for the happy hours promotion. Su: What’s that ”happy hours” thing? Leslie: People who shopped and registered their email before got an extra discount for 4 hours today by showing the bar code on their email! Su: Interesting. I’ve never leave my email address when I shop. I don’t want to receive junk mail. Leslie: I can’t agree anymore. But now, I change my mind. An additional 30% off on the top of the reduced price, they just made me an offer I can't refuse! You can save a lot simply just by checking your mail box frequently! Su: You mean always check your email and print the bar code before going shopping? That’s a lot of work! Leslie: Nope. First, you have to check it every hour! That’s the trickiest part! They just notify you three or four hours earlier. People rush to the store from school or from work as soon as possible. Moreover, I think it’s a benefit for smart phone holders. You don’t even need to print out anything. Just show the email via your cell phone! People using stupid phones like me easily lose the chance. Su: Oh yeah. And old women like me, either. We are not their target customers. Do they think we don’t need sexy outfits? That’s a kind of discrimination. Leslie: Oh well…… |
上班日記6: 天啊 我還在用愚蠢型手機!
昨天下午五點臨時被call去上班,從市區一路趕回家換衣服、吃晚餐,匆匆趕去上班。一直很納悶,明明是星期四,為什麼會人手不夠呢?哪來那麼多客人呀?到了才發現,原來總公司臨時通知:今天除了原有的特價,還額外30% off!本來已經5件26的內褲、2件39的內衣、買兩件減15的魔術胸罩,還有其他永遠不打折的睡衣睡褲、性感內衣,通通可以再打七折!限時happy hours 5-9點而已!!而通知方式居然是email!!!加拿大真的是科技資訊很發達的地方,上次在Montreal就看到我表姐,拿著電腦列印出來的折價券,去jacobs買東西,現在總算是親身經歷了他們的操作方式!
就當天下午大約四點,發email通知有留過信箱的顧客,像我一樣沒有用智慧型手機的人,真的很吃虧,也落伍了!想一想,昨天是平常的上班日,這麼好的促銷,大家下班後都趕過來了,好驚人!很多人拿著手機給我看,問我:這是真的嗎?然後欣喜若狂地掃購。不過總公司對於今天本來就有來逛的民眾也很好,只要你願意留下電子信箱,也可以享有七折的優惠。所以昨天我一到店裡,就看到櫃檯有長長的結帳人潮。平日上班三個人加上經理,人手根本不夠。而更妙的是,我們經理也是今天下午跟民眾同步收到優惠的訊息,才臨時call我過來幫忙,真的太神奇了!不禁讓我懷疑,至今還沒有smart phone的我,是不是已經錯過了太多的折扣?房東阿姨說,現在都專攻年輕人的客群,所以用email來通知,誰管他們這種老人家的福利呀!?(莫非阿姨是在抱怨沒搶到豹紋內衣?)可能流行服飾跟這種內衣褲,真的是專攻年輕族群吧!但這裡的智慧型手機,除了很上FB、玩遊戲,在skytrian上人人低頭傳簡訊之外,沒想到也是有行銷的功能,讓我為之一亮!
昨天的客人形形色色,也因為要解釋促銷活動講特別多話。有個男客人隻身前來不知道要怎麼逛,他說他要買性感睡衣給他女友,問他女友穿甚麼size喜歡什麼類型?他一點概念也沒有,只知道胸圍罩杯,他說他要挑他喜歡的。我跟他說:「你今天來對了!剛好有折扣!」還故弄玄虛地說:「5點到9點而已喔!」他很可愛,急急忙忙問我:What time is it now? 我故意很誇張跟回答 ”It's 8:30 already! You only have 30 minutes left!! Go!” 我想我開始學習外國人的幽默了…。他挑了好久,看上一個黑白的性感睡衣,就是喜歡那件,可是那件是雙倍襯墊,他女友已經有D cup了耶!這樣會滿出來!Queeny很好心建議他不要買這件,他女友的胸部會掉出來,他完全聽不懂,完全不懂襯墊這類的東西,但很喜歡這件。同事一直跟他解釋女友已經很豐滿了不需要,他還一直問那有沒有大一點的size?超好笑。
昨天第一次待到關店,親眼看到客人走後如何收場,又是辛苦的整理內褲工作!我討厭整理那三桌特價內褲!同一個花色有一大堆不同款式,我真的弄兩次,兩次都頭暈。太花了!但結帳的時候,看到主管的笑容就知道,這天真是大豐收。現在真的是智慧型的年代!也看到了外國人是如何利用這個特點做促銷活動,我們昨天的營業額可是破了應有的標準,電腦螢幕一直是綠綠綠呢!!
